Have you ever heard the expression "one
brick short of a load"? It is a chiding comment used to
describe one's apparent lack of mental abilities. Many of
us have felt at one time or another we didn't quite have the
skills or abilities to be successful or to complete a task.
In other words we felt inferior to complete the job. To
that I must give credence to a statement by Eleanor Roosevelt
who so aptly stated when she said, "no one can make you feel
inferior without your permission." The Bible says, "I can
do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It also
says my mind is renewed by the Word of God, as well as the fact
that "God has not given us the spirit of timidity and fear but
of love, power and a sound mind." You and I are not to be
those who are intimidated, we are not to be those who shrink
back from danger; rather we are to be those who are as bold as a
lion, those who charter untamed territory, and those who do
mighty exploits in the earth because we know our God. Are
you ready for an adventure? Are you ready for a challenge?
Are you ready to throw off fear and intimidation? Embrace
Christ!
